David L. Sortwell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David L. Sortwell of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, who passed away on November 14, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Sortwell and Violet Rose Sortwell (West); and his sisters, Vera, Carolyn and Sharon.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Sortwell (Rachael) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Jeremy Elsbury of Aurora, IN and Betsy Fulmer (Toby) of Moores Hill, IN; his grandchildren, Rowan, Asher, Finley, Lucy, Gabrielle, Danielle, Alizibeth, Aydin and Oryin; and his great grandchildren, Wrynn, Lincoln, Bentley and Ayla. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitch Denney Funeral Home (455 Ridge Ave, Greendale, IN 47025).
