He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent J. Newkirk and Marion Sites; his wife Patricia Newkirk; and his siblings, John Newkirk and Marilyn Pickett.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald James Newkirk (Sherry) of Orleans, Indiana and Melissa Isaacs (Timothy) of Palmyra, Indiana; his brother Vincent J. Newkirk Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; and his grandson Loyd Meek. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
