He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Massing and Janice Massing (Stewart); his wife Linda McClaine; his mother-in-law Mary Frances Carter; and his sisters, Kathy Smith, Phyllis Parker, Fran Massing and Pauline Peek.

He is survived by: his children, Jay Wood (Susan) of Lebanon and Penny Bombei (Gary) of Lebanon; his great grandchildren, Mila and Beau; and his siblings, John Massing (Monika) and Jackie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary (2400 N Lebanon St, Lebanon, IN 46052). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
