She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hiland and Anna Catharine Hiland (Kincaid); her husband Bob Strawmyer; and her close friend Beverly Branstetter. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Herschell of Williamsburg, Michelle McElwee of Lebanon, Melinda Strawmyer (Kristopher) of Westfield, Michael McElwee (Julie) of Carmel, IN, Darin McElwee (Lisa) of Plainfield and Catharine McElwee-Roach (James) of Bloomington; and her brother Dr. Sam Hiland (Sandra) of Crawfordsville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
