He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred "Guy" Wethington and Mary Louvenia Wethington; his wife Sonya Louise Beck; his son-in-law Rick Byrkett; and his siblings, Jessie Reger and Stanley Wethington.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jacque Heidenreich (John) of Henderson, NV, Dana Byrkett of Seymour, IN, Jennifer Fields (Jay) of Zionsville, IN and Janeen Rex (Steve) of Lebanon, IN; and his grandchildren, Ashley Weaver (Alex) of Nebraska, Brad Heidenreich (Ashley) of Nevada, Brooke Byrkett of Seymour, Eric Byrkett (Kate) of Seymour, Jesse Bethards of Zionsville, Justin Rex (Krista) of Crawfordsville, Andrew Rex (Emily) of Lebanon, Peyton Rex (Karrie) of Lebanon and Erica Rex of Lebanon. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Gene's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
