She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Stephen Mihlfeld and Mary Edna Mihlfeld; her husband Gerald Travis South; her siblings, Bessie M. Carter and Rev. Beryl R. Mihlfeld; her half-siblings, Sid, Roy, John Mihlfeld and Julia Bradely; and her great grandchild Nixon South.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Merkli, Michael, Hope South, Christopher and Bridget South; her grandchildren, Gina Herron (Steven), Aimee Eisenmann, Joshua South, Nicholas South (Kristi), Amanda Moore, Dylan South, Logan South and Jackson South; and her great grandchildren, Stevie, Cameron Herron, Talynn South, Adalynn, Carson South, Aria and Ava Moore. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
