Jack Steelsmith Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on June 27, 2025, at the age of 94, Jack Steelsmith of Lebanon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Glen Steelsmith and Mary Ruth Red (Hoffman); his wife Patricia Joan Steelsmith (Alford); his son-in-law Sam Thayer; his granddaughter Felicia Steelsmith; his grandson-in-law Andy Myers; and his siblings, Robert Steelsmith and JoAn Reynolds.

He is survived by: his children, Tonya Thayer of Lebanon and Greg Steelsmith (Teresa) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Melissa Stambaugh of Lebanon, Heather Montgomery (Brian) of Lebanon, Andrew Thayer (Heidi) of Zionsville, Alex Steelsmith (Tara) of Attica and Leslie Cannon (Nathan) of Waterford Township, Michigan; his great grandchildren, Kelsey Carr (Paul), Evan Stambaugh (Savannah), Brayden Myers, Brenden Montgomery, Harrison, Hadley Thayer and Otto Steelsmith; his great great grandchildren, Jackson and Presley Joan Carr; his sister Madalyn Peabody; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Steelsmith and Virginia Young.

Memorials may be directed in Jack's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
