He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Smiley and Vivian Smiley. He is survived by: his wife Gail Smiley (Clark); his children, Lynette (Smiley), Sloan (Chad) and Eric Smiley (Lucy); his grandchildren, Alivia, Corban Sloan, Kiley Kane (Austin), Damon, Marshall and Lena Smiley; his great grandchildren, Lainey and Anthony Kane; and his brother Nelson Smiley (Esther).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
