He is survived by: his wife Wanda Hampton; his children, Stephanie Hampton, Rhonda Hampton, John Hampton, Jerry Scering (Veronica), Sherri Willhoite (Jim), Dawn Smith (Tim) and Josh Scering (Sara); his brother-in-law Roy Young; his nephew Mike Young (Amy); and his niece Karen Merritt (Dave). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.
