We bid farewell to Phyllis A. Kilgore of Lebanon, Indiana, born in Marion, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 10, 2024 at the age of 98. Phyllis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Malott and Orpha Malott (Small); her husband Max Kilgore; her children, Linda A. Wood and Mark K. Kilgore; and her siblings, Sheryl Malott, Fern Malott and Harold Malott.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, DeeAnn Culley (David), Ryan Wood and Matthew Kilgore (Rebecca); her sisters, Joyce Brown and Janet Spencer; and her children-in-law, Wayne Wood and Helen Kilgore. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Browns Wonder Cemetery (1626 Douglas Ln, Lebanon, IN 46052).

Memorials may be directed in her memory to the charity of the donor's choice.

“DeeAnn and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Phyllis passing. Max and Phyllis were such an important part of my life while growing up and will forever be missed. Special events, like Christmas, were always spent together as a family on the Kilgore side and were made special when Max, Phyllis, Linda and Mark would arrive from Maryland for the celebrations.
