He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Roscoe and Colletta "Lettie" Summers (Clements); his son James A. Summers; and his siblings, Joseph C. Summers, Johnny W. Summers, Octavia Eileen, Mary A. Summers, Homer Harold Summers, Keith Eugene Summers, Morris Lee Summers, William Paul Summers, James Cicil Summers, Frances M. Summers, Dorothy Jean McWhirt, Mardella Summers and Ada Marie Summers.
He is survived by: his son Jeff D. Summers (Katrina Updike) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Mitchell Bennett and Jordan Summers; and his sisters, Wilma Dickerson of Lebanon and Nancy Wethington of Cincinnati, Ohio..
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Myers Mortuary (1502 N Lebanon St, Lebanon, IN 46052). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed in his memory to charity of donor's choice.
