Steven Schmidt Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 71, Steven Schmidt of Lebanon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Steven leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Schmidt and Rachel Schmidt (Hubbard); and his wife Elaine Smith. He is survived by: his son Phillip Schmidt (Amber) of Lebanon; his sisters, Gloria Gavalier of Fort Wayne and Nancy Fjortoft (John) of Chicago, IL; his sibling-in-law Su Ok of Lebanon; and his grandchildren, Casey McClure, Remi McClure, Rayna Schmidt and Colson Schmidt.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army of Boone County.
