He is survived by: his father James Irwin Barrus; his wife Karolyn A. Barrus of Leesburg, IN; his children, DeWayne Edward (Liz) Barrus and Diane Elaine (James) VanHuffel; his grandchildren, Denise, Larissa and Stephanie; and his sister Debra (Don) Spivey (FL).
