He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Winkler Sr. and Lorraine Huston (Winkler); his stepfather Elbert Huston; his siblings, Penelope Pitser (Winkler) and David Winkler; and his daughter-in-law Karen Winkler (Clement).
He is survived by: his wife Irene Winkler (Floody); his children, Chuck Winkler Jr., Cindy Schleinkofer (Mark) and Greg Winkler (Meredith); his grandchildren, Matthew Winkler (Katelyn), Morgan Schleinkofer, Cassie Winkler, Taylor Schleinkofer, Grace Winkler, Becca Winkler, Ella Winkler, Sarah Schleinkofer, Delaney Winkler, Avery Winkler and Olivia Winkler; and his sisters, Carol Hill (Winkler) and Florence Regular (Winkler).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church (7215 St Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Highland Park Cemetery (2403 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825).
