It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Wellman of Leo, Indiana, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Wellman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alfred, Dorothy Wellman, Mark and Clara Kramer. He is survived by: his parents, Larry Wellman and Linda Wellman (Kramer) of Fort Wayne; his wife Sarah Hargarten of Leo; his pets, Brewer and Barley; his siblings, Sarah Speer (Tim) of Auburn, Annette Hrywna (Tom) of Brampton, Ontario, Nichole Crouch (Joseph) of Fort Wayne, Bridget Bol (Ryan) of New Haven, John Wellman (Ande) of New Haven and Maria Albertson (Michael) of New Haven; his parents-in-law, Robert and Julie Hargarten of Auburn; his siblings-in-law, Matt Hargarten (Savannah) of Clayton, Indiana, Stephanie Winters (Joel) of Auburn, Kimberly Gienger (Derick) of Auburn and Melissa Miller (Andrew) of Waterloo; and his close friends, Adam and Kaylen Brueggeman of Leo. He is also survived by 34 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services (502 N Main St, Auburn, IN 46706). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church (15535 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven, IN 46774).
Memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post 409, for Mass intentions, or to Northeast Indiana Water Trails.
