She is survived by: her mother Lucile Bunt (Reinking); her husband Jon Alter; her children, Joshua Alter (Jacki), Cassandra Reichard (Joe), Krista Forsythe (John) and Robert Alter (Jade); and her siblings, Jane McGraw, Vicki Lauer (Jim), Kathren Bunt and Ben Bunt. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
