He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon G. Tidd and Viola Maxine Bown Tidd; his former wife Mary Tidd; his grandchildren, Amanda Swalls, Jeremy Denny, Johnny Tidd and Brock Francis; his siblings, Charles Tidd and Ramona Malhum; his stepdaughter Penny Cummings; and his pet Buddy.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Tidd; his children, Vicky Fears, Teresa Tidd (Troy), Jimmy Tidd, Jess Tidd (Jackie) and John Tidd (Sharon); his stepchildren, Jason L. Francis (Kim), Tammy Tant, Cheri Swalls (Jeff), Robin Johnson and Kathy Francis; his brother Thomas Tidd; and his pet Teddy. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
