She was predeceased by : her parents, William Virgil Powers and Wanda G. Lynch (Mauk); and her siblings, Dana Mauk, Billy Powers and Teresa Korte.

She is survived by : her children, James William Baxter, Jr. (Stefanie) of Lexington, Indiana and Heather Renee' Freeman (Cody) of Henryville, Indiana; her siblings, Joletta Powers of Brooklyn, Indiana and David Wayne Powers of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Destiney Garvey (Donald), Robert Moore, Brooklyn Blavat, Mark and Josh Dodge.
