She was predeceased by: her parents, David Wayne Gillette and Nancy Lee Davis Shuman; her grandparents, Helen, Art Davis, Marie and Wayne Gillette; and her aunt Margaret "Aunt Margie" Cunliffe.
She is survived by: her stepmother Wendy Thornton-Gillette of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; her sister Diane Doss (Larry) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her uncles, Greg, Gordon Davis and Ted Cunliffe; her aunt Mary Davis; her close friends, Kathy Gwaltney and Kathleen Gee; and her cousins, Christine Brown, Karen Cunliffe and Tom Cunliffe (Rhonda).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter or the Scott County Animal Shelter and National Honor Society Scholarship In memory of Denise Gillette.
