He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Evelyn Williams Means and Albert Leslie "Sam" Means; his siblings, Betty Allene Means and Vernon L Means; and his granddaughter Chelsea Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Cecilia L. Payne Means of Lexington, Indiana; his children, Bambi Lynn Hardin of Madison, Indiana, Raymond E. Porter of Butlerville and Robert D. Porter (Tammy) of North Vernon, Indiana; his grandchildren, Robert, Josh, Randy, Ashley, Brittany, Corey, Damian and Kelsie; his great grandchildren, Mollie, Sky, Isaac, Mason, Colton, Brien, Addy, Hazel, Nolan, Nevaeh, Nova, Kaisley, Stevie, LaRayne and Gavin; and his brother Benny Means (Linda) of Hanover, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
