We announce the death of Kayla Lynn Strother of Lexington, Indiana, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 33. Kayla will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Kevin Strother; and her grandparents, Linda, Paul Newman and Charles Cooper. She is survived by: her parents, Charles Cooper Jr. and Vickie Newman; her son David Hutchins; her sister Heather Weber (Blane Sneed); her nieces and nephews, Connor Lewis of Richmond, Colton Lewis of Campbellsburg, Michael Weber of Campbellsburg, Blane Sneed II of Campbellsburg and Dixie Sneed of Campbellsburg; her cousin Sarah Holderman (Jake) of Brownstown; her aunt Sharon Walls (Mike) of Lexington; and her grandmother Phyilis Cooper.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Weathers Funeral Home (106 S Shelby St, Salem, IN 47167). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
