He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbur Arthur and Clara Helen Abernathy Davis; his brother-in-law Don Retz; and his granddaughter Tiffany Lathery. He is survived by : his wife Ruby Crist; his daughters, Terri Byrley (David), Tracy Giffen (Greg) and Tammy Hartman (David); his sister Sandy Retz; his grandchildren, Timothy Lathery (Becky), Joshua Lathery (Tim Jedra), Krista Lathery (Ben Toebbe), Adam Giffen (Emily), Tyler Giffen (Michael), Shelby Giffen (Brent Cones), Kari Ruf (Jason), Melissa Hartman and Matthew Hartman (Kaitlyn); his great grandchildren, Lindsey Lathery, Liem Lathery, Ellie Giffen, Emma Ruf and Grant Ruf; his niece Amy Barnhizer; and his nephew Chris Retz.
