He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Marcum and Pauline Wilson; and his half-siblings, Frank Marcum, Ted Marcum, Dorothy York and Patricia Pierson.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Marcum; his children, Rebecca Brooks (John), Derrick Marcum (Becky), Kevin Marcum (Jennifer) and Katie Shutters (Zach); and his grandchildren, Morgan Brooks (Brandon Baksh), Evan Brooks, Ella Marcum, Jack Marcum, Eli Marcum, Brooke Marcum, Ben Marcum, Jessica Marcum, Maren French, Connor French, Nathan Shutters and Cami Shutters.
