He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Francis and Ella Margaret Thackrey (Stewart); and his daughter Jana Thackrey (Jerald A. Thackrey). He is survived by: his sons, James Jr. Thackrey (Theresa) of Centerville and Jason Thackrey (Heather) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Amanda Toole (Craig), Emilee Honeycutt (Zach), Allison Ott (Luke), Jenna Thackrey, Anthony Thackrey and Kaylee Thackrey; and his sister Mary Campbell of Brookville, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
