She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Edwin and Irene Wilson Powell; and her brother Myron Anderson Powell. She is survived by: her husband Ray Smith; her children, Danny (Patty Smith), Gary Smith and Debbie (Jim Peters); her grandchildren, Sara, Jacob, Curtis, Jessica and Josh; and her great grandchild Jerald. She is also survived by many animal companions, extended family members, and friends.
Given Marlene's love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Acres United Rescue Animal Sanctuary in her honor.
