Russell will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Though Russell is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Russell’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell R. Cornett and Louise Greye Cornett; and his wife Patricia. He was also cherished by nine children, with 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Liberty Church of Nazarene (220 W High St, Liberty, IN 47353). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Abington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Help the Animals, Inc, 201 W. Main St., Richmond, Indiana and/or Liberty Acres United Rescue Animal Sanctuary, 3546 E. Mitchell Rd, Liberty, Indiana 47353.
