He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilton Phares and Ruby Phares; his daughter Amanda Phares; and his father-in-law Ron Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Phares; his children, Bradley Phares (Janelle), Tyler Phares (Kellie) and Kristen Try (Netra); his grandchildren, Jared Morley (Tasha), Logan Phares, Tenlee Phares, Kooper Phares, Tucker Phares, Anduin Try and Ruby Try; his great grandchild Jackson Morley; his siblings, Steve Phares (Paula), Doug Phares and Diane Perlich (Allen); and his mother-in-law Marlene Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Dan's memory should be directed to Cosperville Baptist Church.
