With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fredrick Harold Colen (Ligonier, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Colen and Martha Colen (Adams). He is survived by: his siblings, Melody Garber (Paul), Janice Colen, Rick and John Colen (Lisa); his children, Kimberly Erdly, Inger Berntson, Freya Berntson, Gretchen Watkins (Jamie), Harold Colen (Rhiannon) and David Colen (Pam); and his grandchildren, Zachary Knafel and Katelyn Noe (Josh).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fred's honor may be given to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 Sherman St., Kendallville, IN 46755.
