He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Birge (Cunningham); his children, Jennifer Birge, Chad Birge (Tiffany) and Rebecca Scott (Kelly); his grandchildren, Christopher Scott, Ellesyn Birge and CJ Birge; and his cousins, Bonita Poore (Jason) and Shirley Tooley (Nick). He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital in Darrell's honor.
