He was predeceased by: his parents, David Newton Shrader and Duvie Dare Shrader (Cook); his children, David Ray Scott Shrader and Michelle Childress; and his siblings, Darryl Shrader and Marian Joyce Shrader.

He is survived by: his children, Annette Alvey (Daniel) of Linton, Sheri Richmond (Douglas) of Texas and Eric Shrader of California; and his brother Ernest Alvin Shrader. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
