Debra Rene Ayers Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Rene Ayers of Linton, Indiana, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Debra may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clellan Thornton and Wilma E. Thornton (McPike); her husband Norman E. Ayers; her sister Allison Thornton; and her sister-in-law Deborah Thornton.

She is survived by: her brother James Keith Thornton of Cortland. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
