She was predeceased by: her parents, Norval Malone and Nora Malone (Plummer); her former husband Horace "Leon" Reed; her husband John R. Cox; her daughter Nancy Harp; and her siblings, Virginia Krost, Bonnie Sullivan, Marjorie Brookshire, John, Richard, Ralph and Lee Malone.
She is survived by: her sons, Ted Reed (Debbie), Tom Reed (Rhonda), Charles Reed (Tammy) and David Reed (Becky); her son-in-law Monty Harp; and her stepchildren, John Cox (Karen) and Victoria "Sue" Pflueger (Mike). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ethel's honor may be made to the Lyons Food Pantry.
