He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert "Dutch" King and Dottie King (Fesler); his wife Shirley K. King; his son Christopher King; his grandchildren, Kyle May (Jonathan Pate) and Jessica Pate; and his siblings, Mabel Allen, Gale King and Roberta Todd.
He is survived by: his son Steven King; his stepchildren, Gypse Thompson-Campbell (David), Joey Thompson and Jeania Thompson-Tanglao (Ronald); his grandchildren, Zachary King, Seth King, Ben King, Corbin Forston, Camie Forston, Jeania Whaley and Steven Thompson; his great grandchildren, Reese Marie King, Taylor Baughman, Gabriel Walters, Eric Lee May and Sebastain Milo Thompson; and his great great grandchild Julietta of Santiago.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lester Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home Inc. - Bloomfield (421 S Seminary St, Bloomfield, IN 47424). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Greene County Veterans Services.
