He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel John and Marjorie Helen Donathen (Cripe); and his brothers, Robert Allen Donathen and Donald Gene Donathen. He is survived by: his close friend Millie Kenworthy; his children, Stephen John Donathen (Karen) of Skull Valley, AZ, Gregory John Donathen (Michelle) of Riverside, CA and Kimberly Ann Haro (Bruce) of Forreston, IL; and his sister Joyce Bell of Andalusia, AL..
