He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Shidler and Lela Ruth Shidler (Baker); his significant other Lois Shidler; his siblings, Dale Shidler and Loretta Ellis; and his great grandchildren, Liam and Logan Richardson.
He is survived by: his children, Leah Lucas (Kenneth) of Linton, Lana Heath (Kerry) of Dugger and Leif Shidler of Linton; his grandchildren, Toni Winkler (Matt), Julie Bernier (Jimmy), Kaine Bauer, Nicole Shidler, Samantha Shidler, Eric Nagy, Anna Jackson (Kenny), Kasie Earle (Jimmy) and Thaniel Heath (Allison); his great grandchildren, Caiden Brough, Airianna Brough, Vincent Bernier, Luke Winkler, Mark Winkler, Tristan Winkler, Katey Padgett, Emma Padgett, Dakota Padgett, Phoenix Richardson, James Richardson, Daniel Earle, Henry Jackson and Wyatt Earle; and his sister Vinita McCullough.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home (140 E Vincennes St, Linton, IN 47441). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
