It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mayme L. Taylor of Linton, Indiana, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mayme L. Taylor to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond "Leon" Ward and Bessie M. Ward (Shounk); and her husband Albert "Al" Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Gregory Taylor (Lori) of Hymera, Mark Taylor (Carrie) of Linton and Becky Phillips of Linton; her grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Mathis, Amy Richardson (Bob), A. J. Phillips (Tanja), Sara Ross (Mike) and Blake Taylor (Rochelle); her brothers, Bill Ward, Charles "Chuck" Mason and Keith Mason (Karen); her son Robert Taylor; and her siblings, Betty Copeland, Eileen Samm, Roy Ward and Ray Ward. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home (140 E Vincennes St, Linton, IN 47441). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Linton First United Methodist Church Missions, through the funeral home.
