He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lester and Margaret A. Showley (Apt); his sons, Steve and John Showley; his siblings, Phillip Joe Showley and Betty Corn; and his stepchildren, Tonya Myers and Terry Lee Myers.

He is survived by: his wife Mary (Smith); his son Michael Showley; his stepchildren, Tracy Myers (Kathy) and Tammy Gellinger (Don); and his daughters-in-law, Rebecca Myers and Robin Willis. He is also survived by several grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
