George R. Shanks Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Asher and Frances Edna Shanks (Davidson); his sister Patsy; his brother-in-law Walter Hansen; his son-in-law David L. Goltry; and his siblings-in-law, Leona and Dick Woodling.
He is survived by: his children, Bill, Sherry VanSoest (Greg) of Logansport, Becky Partin (Reid) of Royal Center, Jeff Shanks (Deb) of Logansport and Emily "Emy" Bridge (Dale) of Rochester; his grandchildren, Jeremy VanSoest, Scott VanSoest (Brandi), Linnea Lebo (Cody), Lisa Daily (Neil), Shae Shanks (Bryce Brown), Miles Shanks (Kori Downs), Morgan Shanks (Jake Miller), Bobby Bridge (Holly), Danny Bridge (Angie) and Eric Bridge (Andrea); his great grandchildren, Ainslee, Anniston VanSoest, Hallie, Jalynn Lebo, Savannah Daily, Sophie Dailey, Avery Brown, Mattingly, Case Bridge, Bennett, Chandler Bridge, Taylor and Ashton Bridge; his nieces, Linnea Whitlow, Jackie Kingery, LuAnn Schoen and Debbie Keys; Earl Purcell (Bob).
Shirley was a patient at Miller's Merry Manor when Covid first hit and the country essentially shut down.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Christian Church Building fund and the Shanks Family Scholarship Fund in care of the Cass County Community Foundation.
