He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles James and Patty James (Knapp); his brothers, Charles'Chuck'James, Jamie James (April) and Jeff James; his uncle Dennis Medbourn; his niece Kimberly James; his siblings-in-law, Gary Rogers, Jeff Brumett, Dennis'Doc'Quillen and Gayle Adams (Quillen); and his niece Mariah Malott.

He is survived by : his wife Jennie Quillen; his children, Joel of Logansport, Derreck (Kim Jones) of Logansport, Amelissa of Logansport, Derian of Logansport, Justin of Logansport and Amichaela of Logansport; his grandchildren, Kadrean Burrage, Dru Burrage, Cadence James, Akai James, Kinzee James and Lucas Jones; his siblings, Jennifer Rogers (Mark), Janice Brumett, Jon James (Denise), Jeannine Goodman (Cary), Jeremy James (Stacy) and Julie Utter (Jason); his uncle Don James; his caregivers, Dr. David Kim and Dr. Jenelle Miller; and also Don James.
