She was predeceased by: her parents, George Baer and Zella Cress Baer; her son Steven J. Rist; her siblings, Emery Baer, Ben Baer, Luila Berkshire (Baer) and Rita Parkins (Baer); and her sister-in-law Arlene Baer.

She is survived by: her husband Don; her son Michael A. Rist; her siblings, Al Baer (Rita), Bob Baer (Marilyn), Mary Emery of Logansport and Evelyn Byers (Gary) of Logansport; her siblings-in-law, Thomas Parkins, Marilyn Ralston and Barb Baer; her grandchildren, Matthew Smith-Rist, Ryan Rist, Ashli Vaughn (Rist), Shane Rist, Kaya Rist, Kellen Rist and Keaton Rist; and her great grandchildren, Sterling Smith-Rist, Ezra Smith-Rist and Boston Vaughn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
