In loving memory of Margaret E. Nies of Logansport, Indiana, who departed this world on August 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Margaret leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Murphy and Agnes Murphy (Kinsler); her husband Walter Thomas Nies; and her sisters, Mary Brindle, Irene Brugh and Teresa Barlow.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Keen (Ken) of Spring Lake, NC, Nancy Hughes (Randy) of Logansport, Thomas C. Nies (Kristy) of Lebanon, IN and John Nies of Logansport; and her grandchildren, Lyndsey Davis (Matt) of Charleston, SC, Paige Wilson (David) of North Carolina, Kendra Wright (Kris) of Washington, Heidi Binney (Adam) of Logansport, Elizabeth Durr (Adam) of Sheridan, IN, Austin Hughes of Logansport, Casey Hughes (Sunny) of Sheridan, IN, Bradley Nies (Taylor) of Carmel, IN, Jonathon Nies of Sheridan, IN, Zachary Nies of Lebanon, IN and Nicholas Nies of Lebanon, IN. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gundrum Funeral Home (1603 E Broadway St, Logansport, IN 46947). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (112 E Market St, Logansport, IN 46947).
