He was predeceased by: his mother Sandra Spencer (Frey); his stepfather Jerry; his brother Steven Spencer; his nephews, Roger R. Spencer, III and Camden Gordon; and his grandparents, John, Nellie Spencer, Neal and Marcella Frey.
He is survived by: his father Roger R. Spencer; his stepmother Sandy; his siblings, Roger "Buzz" Spencer (Deb), Dee Dee Settlemyre (Dennis) and Robert Gordon; his nieces and nephews, Cass Settlemyre (Kate), Drennen Settlemyre (Lindsay), Marla Spencer and Brooklynn Gordon; and his great-nephew Finn Settlemyre. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael's memory to the Izaak Walton League, 1046 N. State Road 17, Logansport, IN 46947.
