He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Barnes and Margaret Barnes Hetherington (Newman); his wife Mary Catherine Barnes (Newgent); his children, Kelly Baber (Brian), Bobbi Benish (Shawn) and Charles Lasitter (Mary); his grandchildren, Gatlin Benish, Ely Benish, Chance Baber, James and Jared Sims; and his family, Nick and Cindy Townsend.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Logansport Chapel (1801 Chase Rd, Logansport, IN 46947). A masonic service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the same location.
