She was predeceased by: her father Claude Dotson; her husband George "Buddy" Franklin; and her siblings, Claude "CJ" Dotson Jr., Bessie Dotson McArthur, Susan "Tootsie" Dotson Greear, Ruby Dotson Isom, Kenneth Dotson, Loretta Dotson Isom and Glen Dotson.
She is survived by: her mother Lela Dotson (Warwick); her sister Margie Proffitt (John); her children, George Franklin Jr. (DeeDee), Sharon Bassett, Ted Franklin (Teresa), Jackie Franklin and Shirley; her grandchildren, Jeremy Franklin, Tera Furman (Cory), Courtney Franklin, Travis Franklin (Rachel), Savanah Strever (Andrew), Emily Myers, Alex Bassett (Larissa), Chase Myers (Taylor) and Nick Bassett (Diana); and her great grandchildren, Mackin, Zigler, Luca, Kai, Conner, Eleanor, Harrison and Cooper.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home (711 E Market St, Logansport, IN 46947). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
