He is survived by: his children, Megan Kinnaman (Roger), AnnMarie Bean, Brian Gerard (Kristy) and Charles Gerard (Hannah); his siblings, Frank Gerard, Alvin Smith, Cora Lohrman and Bonnie VanMeter; and his grandchildren, Luke Zeider, Landon Zeider, Cambry Kinnaman, Layla Kinnaman, Brylan Bean, Carter Bean, Kennedy Gerard and Ellie Gerard.
