He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Fred Gehl and Dorothy Gehl (Warnoch); and his brothers, Dr. Fredrick Gehl Jr. and Dr. Keith Gehl. He is survived by: his son Douglas Gehl; and his sister Dr. Marsha Gehl. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
