He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse N. Parsons and Ethel Parsons (Hovis); and his wife Barbara Walton. He is survived by : his daughters, Diane Lengacher (Delbert) of Loogootee, Cheryl Kiltz (Kim) of Washington and Carolyn Downey (Roger) of Loogootee; his siblings, Harold Parsons (Louise) of Loogootee, Roger Parsons of Loogootee and Donna Walker of Loogootee; his grandchildren, Stephanie Knepp (Keith), Courtney Williams, Ashley Harris, Lacey Gress (Aaron), Derek Kiltz (Ashley), Brecklyn Kiltz (Justin), Dylan Kiltz, Nick Downey (Jessica) and Blythe Jeffers (Joby); his great grandchildren, Nichole, Dalton, Kayden, Avery Knepp, Gabrielle, Trinity Williams, Riley, Brailey, Jaley Harris, Renley Sellers, Isaiah, Anya, Kyran, Gress, Evie Neel, Ellington Downey, Carter Downey, Porter and Adler Jeffers; and his brother-in-law Wayne Walton.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Loogootee Methodist Church (208 W Main St, Loogootee, IN 47553). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Truelove United Methodist Church.
