He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Gilbert (Dorothy) of Loogootee, Marty Gilbert of Linton and Janet Mullens (Scott) of Vincennes; his uncle Charles Robbins of Alfordsville, Indiana; and his pet Lady Trump. He is also survived by three nieces; four nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home (308 E Walnut St, Washington, IN 47501). The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
