She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Ellis and Bernadette Ellis (Halbert); her husband Donald J. Strange; her sons, Kenneth, Earl, Mike, Ernie and Joseph Allen Strange; and her siblings, Mary, Dorothy, Annie, Margaret, Harry, Jim and Charlie.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Strange of Paoli, Patrick Strange of Bloomington, Evelyn Matlock of Florida, Linda Hudoff of Bloomington, Ann Strange of Henryville and Pam Hurt of Bloomington. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blake Funeral Home (300 Church St, Loogootee, IN 47553). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in Ruth's honor at any home hospice organization or charity of choice.
