It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Ruth Embree of Loogootee, Indiana, who passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Osmo C. Petty and Violet Petty (Holt); her husband Ray Embree; and her siblings, Kenny Holt, Donna Kent, Robert Sherfick, Berta Davis, Roscoe Petty, Osmo Petty, Brenda Petty, Tammy Bledsoe and Diana Riker.

She is survived by: her daughter Candace Embree (Scott Holman) of Kentucky; and her sisters, Sandra Sherfick and Opal "Suzy" Mesarosh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
